Anna Aupperle earned her bachelor's degree in broadcasting, telecommunications and mass media at Temple University (focus: music business and sound recording), winning three departmental research paper awards and five scholarships. She also earned her master's degree in broadcasting, telecommunications and mass media at Temple, focusing on television production and media studies. Originally from the Philadelphia suburbs, she spent a year working and interning in Los Angeles as well as writing her thesis, an ethnographic study of "Glee" fans and social activism as viewed through the media spectacle. Anna remains interested in young adult cultures, as well as in media industries, Canadian media financing/production structures, and broadcast television history, as evidenced through her current work focused on The CW Television Network.
