The "Centre County Report," CommRadio and PSN-TV, all of which provide vital experience to Bellisario College students, are part of the Penn State Student Media Network, a consortium of entities that also includes The Daily Collegian and The Lion 90.7 FM.
The consortium allows student media entities to share resources and run more efficiently while retaining editorial independence as they seek combined financial support from the Student Fee Board at the University.
The consortium is designed to:
- provide practical learning experiences in professional environments dedicated to excellence, student freedom of expression and sound business practices appropriate to an academic setting;
- produce superior student media responsive to the general needs of the Penn State community;
- collaborate utilizing shared resources and ideas for joint projects and ongoing coverage; and
- develop student leadership through ongoing training and advising.
