Want to learn more about the Science Policy Society and how to get involved? Come to our August General Meeting! We will be hosting our general meeting on August 16 at 4:30 pm in Boucke Building room 322.
We will be introducing what we do as the Science Policy Society as well as ways to get involved. Learn more about previous and upcoming events, officer elections, and all the great opportunities that can be used as broader impacts. Come hang out with SPS members following the meeting at our August Social. Either walk down with attending members or meet us at Cafe 210 at 5:30 pm. This is a great way to get to know us better or spend time with like-minded individuals.
SciComm Speaker Series: Sharon Dunwoody

Dr. Sharon Dunwoody is an expert on the public understanding of science, particularly the role of science, environment and health messages in mass media. She is a professor emeritus of journalism and mass communication at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. The research areas she focuses on include science literacy, risk communication, scientist-journalist interactions and environmental communication.
