<p>Penn State journalism major Derrick Stilley was one of 20 college students from around the country selected for the Ed Bradley Journalism Fellowship, a weeklong program (scheduled June 2-8) that offers a series of intensive training and mentorship workshops intended to increase the presence of Black men in newsrooms across the country by helping them be better prepared for the industry.</p>

Competitive journalism major earns potentially valuable post-graduate fellowship

<p>When the NFL Draft begins April 24 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, senior journalism majors Josh Bartosik and Mike Bolger will be on site to cover the event for CommRadio, the streaming channel housed in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications. It’s the 15th year in a row CommRadio has covered the draft. CommRadio was the first collegiate media entity to cover the draft from start to finish. </p>

Trio of staff members provide key first points of contact in Bellisario College

<p>Newscasts produced by Penn State earned five first-place finishes, sweeping all the broadcast categories, and images from photojournalism students added three more first-place finishes as the University crafted a strong performance at the annual Student Keystone Media Awards. The Daily Collegian lifted Penn State’s total to nine first-place finishes for its ongoing news coverage.</p>
