The Page Center honored its third class of Larry Foster Award honorees on Feb. 20 in New York City. The careers of Dean Baquet, Marilyn Laurie and Jack Rowe were recognized at the fundraising event, which was filled with kind words, wise advice, optimism for the future -- and a snow storm.

Through this information-sharing process, they build varying levels of relationships with numerous audiences. A study by scholar Hilary Fussell Sisco is looking into the ways digital media can foster relationships and build social capital among communication professionals.

After natural disasters, authenticity via mobile devices is vital for companies

Two Page-funded studies examined how public perceptions of companies are affected when the organizations share CSR initiatives during a natural disaster. The results suggest that companies can foster positive, authentic relationships with publics by engaging them with useful and timely information on mobile devices.

Research in Progress: The impact of transparency and how it shapes trust

In an era of declining institutional trust, it is important that professionals understand how organizations can use communication to build trust, and how such trust-building works on a psychological level. Two Page Center scholars are conducting a Page Center-funded project to get a clear picture of how transparency affects trust.
