Rehab Alayoubi

Rehab is a second-year Ph.D. student and an Arthur W. Page Center Fellow. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Kent State University. After working for several years as a clinical dietitian in Saudi Arabia, she shifted her academic focus and completed an integrated B.A./M.A. program in Media Studies at Penn State University.

Her research explores how message design shapes emotional and cognitive responses to persuasive messages.

Her research has been presented at leading academic conferences, including the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), the International Communication Association (ICA), and the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC).

Outside of research, Rehab enjoys horror movies and spending time with her cats Fiona, Cleopatra and Teddy.
