Biography

Melanie is the president and founder of Beyond Spots & Dots. Melanie's expertise is in strategizing with business owners and marketing managers to understand how to allocate their marketing budgets more effectively. As a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, she's been able to use her advertising/PR degree to recommend and manage advertising, marketing and PR plans for businesses, non-profits, and government entities. Melanie was successful in the broadcast television and cable television sales areas immediately following her graduation from Penn State, allowing her to learn and understand the inner workings of the most complex medium - TV.

At Beyond Spots & Dots, she has been successful in leading her team to Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies” five times. This is a select group of companies cited for their rapid growth. During her 17 years of owning Beyond Spots & Dots, she has contracted with over 500 clients worldwide. She is an expert in negotiating cost-efficient media buys and effective rates, as well as creating strategic marketing plans that tie directly to short-term and long-term marketing and sales goals, branding efforts, top-line and bottom-line revenues. Melanie currently oversees all aspects of the business, from new business planning to media planning, negotiating and buying, to training and supervising daily employee practices. Most importantly, she is passionate about growing the business and implementing planning for optimal growth through market research, marketing campaign implementation, and campaign analysis on behalf of clients with which the agency works.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son traveling and skiing.
