Professor Leverett served nine years as a senior Middle East analyst for the CIA, and in 2002 was the senior director for Middle East affairs with the National Security Council. He is a professor of international affairs and Asian studies at Penn State.

"From Barbie's World to Elf's New York: Exploring Narrative Nuances In Film”

Deepak Sethi, a comedy writer who teaches in the Penn State Hollywood Program and has over a decade of experience writing for primetime television, will present a free public lecture. Sethi was nominated for an Annie Award for writing in 2020. His short film, "Coffee Shop Names," was a finalist for the Tribeca X award at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and was acquired by HBO Max for debut in September 2021.
