Internship Opportunities in the Bellisario College
The Bellisario College of Communications has a strong focus on providing students with real-world, hands-on opportunities. Internship experiences are an excellent source for students to gain valuable professional experience. Please join the Manager of Internships Julie Miller to learn more about the support system in place to help students secure impactful internships in the communications industry.
Journalism in the Bellisario College
The Bellisario College offers a multimedia approach to Journalism. Students in this major can choose to specialize in Broadcast Journalism, Photojournalism, or Print and Digital Journalism. This session will be led by current Journalism students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. Current students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
Telecommunications and Media Industries in the Bellisario College
Telecommunications and Media Industries offers students a look behind the scenes of media production. This major explores the fundamental issues and current industry practices and develops skills to become leaders in all forms of media. This session will be led by current students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. The students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
Advertising in the Bellisario College
Advertising challenges students to apply the art of persuasive storytelling to creates concepts and craft copy across all media platforms. Students are learning to develop campaign goals and think strategically to suggest creative media and promotional strategies. They are working to achieve goals using research, marketing materials, ratings, and costs analysis. This session will be led by current Advertising students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. Current students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
Public Relations in the Bellisario College
Public Relations students are prearing to pursue careers in business, communications, mass media, and more. Students learn to build PR campaigns using market research and craft news releases, PSAs, pitch letters and assemble media kits. Students fine tune their writing and presentation skills and harness strategic planning and thinking to build a client brand through traditional and new media. This session will be led by current students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. The students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
Film Production in the Bellisario College
Film Production is a creative, production-based major that is suited for students that have a passion for storytelling. Students in the Film Production major develop a deep understand of all aspects of film making while exploring narrative, documentary, and alternative forms. This session will be led by Film Production students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. Current students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
Media Studies in the Bellisario College
Media Studies is a theory-based and research-driven major. Students in Media Studies explore the relationship between media and the public, analyze media messages, and examine their effects on individuals and cultures. This session will be led by Media Studies students and is designed to introduce you to the many opportunities within the major. Current students will also be available for questions following their presentation.
