Professor Leverett served nine years as a senior Middle East analyst for the CIA, and in 2002 was the senior director for Middle East affairs with the National Security Council. He is a professor of international affairs and Asian studies at Penn State.

Yael Warshel, an assistant professor of telecommunications and media industries and African Studies, and Rock Ethics Institute Research Associate, will discuss her award-winning book, "Experiencing the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Children, Peace Communication and Socialization," published by Cambridge University Press, as part of the Humanities Institute Reading New Books in the Humanities by Penn State Faculty series.
