Eligibility
All full-time Bellisario College staff members, other than those serving in an administrative capacity, who have been employed continuously for a minimum of three years are eligible for the Dean's Excellence Award. Previous recipients will not be eligible for a period of three years.
All full-time Bellisario College staff members who have been employed continuously for at least one and up to three years are eligible for the Rising Star Award.
Purpose of Awards
The purpose of the awards is to recognize staff members for extraordinary service or outstanding performance in the Bellisario College.
Nominations
- Any member of the student body, faculty, staff, administration or an officially registered student organization may sponsor one nominee for the award, regardless of level.
- Every nomination is considered on its own merit and will be given equal consideration regardless of type or level of staff position held within the University.
- Nominators are asked to complete and submit a nomination form along with a statement of support and up to two additional statements of support.
- Self-nominations are not permitted.
- Nominees may be notified of their nomination and be asked to supply appropriate supporting material to the committee.
- Nominations from last year will automatically be added to the nominations pool, and nominators from previous years can update their statements of support, if they wish.
Determination
Evaluation of nominees will be made by an Awards Committee to be determined by the Dean consisting of the appropriate supervisors, department heads and administration to support the nominations. The committee will make recommendations to the Dean from the nominations. Up to two winners will be chosen by the Dean based on these recommendations.
