Biography

Abbey Clifford is a senior majoring in media studies in the Bellisario College with a minor in commercial tourism through the Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management department in the College of Health and Human Development.

A Dean's List students, she has had the opportunity to participate in an embedded study abroad program to Paris to learn about planning large international events. In 2024, her study abroad group met with organizers for the Paris Olympics. She is an active student leader and serves as vice president for Mortar Board. She has raised more than $15,000 for THON in her previous committee roles.

Clifford has gained real-world practical experience through her campus jobs and internships, including serving as a Lion Line student development specialist and as a tour guide in the Bellisario Media Center. She has completed internships with the State College Spikes, Hershey Resorts & Entertainment and USA Wrestling. She shows her school spirit as a member of the Penn State Spirit Squad as the "Mic Person" for Lady Lion basketball.

In the future, Clifford hopes to pursue a career in educational fundraising, non-profit public relations or tourism. She plans to graduate in May 2026.
