Ebony Reilly

Biography

After graduation, Reilly continued her involvement with Penn State by serving on the board of directors for the Penn State Alumni Association’s New York City chapter in 2015. As an alumna of the Bellisario College, she strives to break barriers by combining her passion for technology and innovation with her love for communications. She currently works at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), where she supports strategy and innovation for digital transformation initiatives. In her role, she serves as a conduit between business, strategy, and IT—leveraging her communication background to align cross-functional teams and drive execution.

Prior to ASME, Reilly spent eight years at the United Federation of Teachers (UFT), where she began as a digital content specialist in the communications department and rose to become Director of Operations, leading service and technology solutions for more than 185,000 NYC educators. Earlier in her career, she worked as a copy editor and page designer at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette through the prestigious Dow Jones News Fund program, and as a copywriter at LocalVox Media, Inc. She earned her MBA from the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business in 2024.

Reilly is the former president of the Bellisario College Alumni Society Board (serving since 2018) and has represented the college on the Penn State Alumni Association Alumni Council since 2023. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
