Todd Blackledge, the lead game analyst for NBC’s “Big Ten Saturday Night” college football coverage and the first quarterback to lead the Penn State football team to a national championship, will be the featured guest when Football Fridays, an on-campus question-and-answer series, begins for the fall. The Football Fridays speakers series is sponsored by the Penn State Center for the Study of Sports in Society and the Penn State All-Sports Museum, and hosted by the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications.

Premiere screening of "Dirt Circus," a documentary produced by students in the John Curley Center for Sports Journalism at Penn State focused on dirt track racing, specifically Clinton County Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa. Ticket sales benefit Lamar Township Volunteer Fire Company and Renovo EMS. Tickets, $5.

PSNtv is the largest student-run network on campus, offering a variety of shows ranging from sports to news, entertainment and more. Anyone can join any of PSNtv's seven shows, including PSN News, Penn State Sports Night and Culture Central. As a member of PSNtv, students have many opportunities to explore different roles in front of or behind the camera. Students interested in learning ore about the network and/or certain shows should not miss this meeting!

Information about fall semester trainings and paid job opportunities in the News Lab. We'll review this year's reporting projects (sports and pay equity, agriculture, primary elections, and more), the application process and timelines. We'll also discuss the launch of Centre Documenters, a local accountability project launching this September (a partnership between the News Lab and SpotlightPA).

"After the Whistle" is the Bellisario College's student produced, faculty directed high school football highlights show. It's a great opportunity for first-year students to get involved in a production early in their college career. All students are welcome to find out more about the show and how to get involved.
