Rules for Using the VO Booths or Studios
1. VO booths contain one microphone. There are 3 booths available.
2. Studios contain 2-3 microphones. There are 2 studios available.
3. Availability is restricted to students in the Bellisario College of Communications.
4. Before access is granted you must schedule a workshop on how to use the facility. Or had a class that had a workshop.
5. Once a workshop has been completed your User Id will be sent to I.T. department for card access. This can be a 24–48-hour turnaround time.
6. Voice recording can be done on a SD card. 32gb or less.
7. If not an SD card, you can record into the computer via Adobe Audition or Premiere. Prior registration for those programs is required.
8. One hour of time is granted. Over one hour you may be booted due to availability.
9. Look at the posted schedules on the door before you enter.
10. Student class work is highest priority. Non-class work isn’t.
11. Using multi mic studios requirements for non-class podcasts is set for 1 day 1 set hour per week. No deviations.
12. No food in studios. Drinks must be capped.
13. Equipment problems must be reported immediately.
14. The earlier you are trained on the facility equipment, the faster you can use them.
