Brand Assistant

BrandDemon (Altoona, Pennsylvania)

BrandDemon is hiring a Brand Assistant to work in the Altoona office. The Brand Assistant will use creative talent and analytical skills in assisting with all aspects of the day-to-day activities at BrandDemon including copywriting, data analytics, research, idea generation, procurement, proof-reading, and general marketing activities.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide general marketing assistance, as needed
  • Develop content for a variety of projects including brochures, websites, social media posts, and print ads
  • Assist in writing blog posts and feature style articles, bios, and other website content
  • Help identify quality vendors and negotiate for best prices; manage vendors to meet timing, quality, and cost expectations
  • Conduct business, brand, competitor, and industry research; analyze information and present findings
  • Brainstorm with the team in developing breakthrough concept ideas
  • Review and thoroughly proof documents, presentations, and creative work for accuracy, spelling, and grammar
  • Track analytics for clients’ social media campaigns and websites; create reports
  • Assist in the creation of project proposals
  • Assist web developers with content upload to websites through the use of a CMS
  • Organize, update and maintain shared company folders (on Google Drive)
  • Assist as needed in company planned events and meetings
  • Pick-up and delivery of materials: media offices, vendors, and clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Program Knowledge:

  • Good with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of content management systems including WordPress
  • Some experience with the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • Experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics, and social media analytics
  • Understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn)

Copywriting Skills:

  • At a beginner level – ability to translate creative ideas into copy that sells
  • Experience in writing strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct
  • An eye for detail and a drive for perfection when reviewing copy

Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business degree preferred

Entry Level with the successful completion of an internship preferred
