Broadcast Technical Operator
QVC (West Chester, Pennsylvania)
The Broadcast Technical Operator works in various production roles supporting the QVC Live broadcast such as assistant director, graphics, audio board and camera. In this role, you will elevate production or technical issues and communicate critical information to the QVC production teams.
Who We Are
The Broadcast Operations team brings the QVC products to life, live on television, as well as other mediums that reach our customer. The main objective for the team is to provide a comprehensive, engaging presentation which highlights the features and benefits of the products that we sell.
Your Impact
- Take direction from the Line Producer concerning the timing and order of production elements and communicate the direction to the live team at the appropriate time.
- Operate video servers, still store, routers and robotic cameras for the live broadcast.
- Set up cameras with backstage team according to blocking standards using robotic controls.
- Manage video clips and graphics for on air play out.
- Operate graphics position for live broadcast.
- Operate audio console and associated audio and video servers for live broadcast.
- Operate camera for live broadcast. May include jib, handheld, robotic and specialty cameras.
What You Bring
- An undergraduate degree in Broadcast Media, Communications or a related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years live broadcast television production experience.
- Position requires flexible hours.
- Hands-on working knowledge of broadcasting equipment including audio boards, character generators, servers, and camera robotics.
