The Standard-Speaker in Hazleton, Pa., has an immediate opening for an experienced editor with passion and drive to lead a news operation.

The City Editor oversees the Hazleton newsroom on a daily basis and works closely with the Regional Managing Editor to develop and advance strategic initiatives that serve the Hazleton market with quality journalism, exceptional editing and design, and urgent news both online and in print.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding journalism, planning and organizational skills and a passion for developing both staff and product.

This high-volume leadership position requires a strong communicator, an editor with superb news judgment and the ability to perform under daily deadline pressure of a busy newsroom.
