Customer Communications Manager

As a Barclays Customer Communications Manager you will lead the copywriting for customer communications across Barclays. This is your opportunity to ensure that communications are well-written, clear, transparent, empathetic, and in the appropriate tone of voice. You will be responsible for managing and leading the creation of content, copy, messaging, and approvals for all of the Point of Sale (POS) messages.

What will you be doing?
• Developing the customer communications materials required to support the journey for POS Retail products with a focus on email messages
• You will engage with technology, enterprise marketing and partner stakeholders as needed & ensure communications are consistent with intended customer experience
• Providing oversight to all communications, ensuring quality, consistency, and customer-friendliness of all of our marketing collateral
• Helping manage the agencies and/or in-house Creative Media Group (CMG) to ensure all communications meet the requirements set out in the creative brief
• Ensuring all communications are consistent an across the customer, market-leading and conform to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Providing expertise in the Barclays and partner brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements related to the business
• Performing customer communications mailbox reviews and provide copywriting assistance for other submissions
• Support external Agency Management as needed

What we’re looking for:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Exceptional level of experience supporting marketing and the brand/customer communications strategy, communications or copywriting at a major corporation

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent communication skills both written spoken, with expertise in copywriting
• Detail oriented and work well in cross-functional teams, drive strategic agendas, making recommendations/decisions.
• Customer focus, strong understanding of effective customer communications, and outstanding observational skills
• Creative acumen, strong eye for multi-channel creative execution with a knowledge of production, digital and print marketing campaigns
