The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is looking for a data reporter who can produce regular work for our series, The Current, which aims to use data to provide fresh insight on life in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area. Between Current pieces, this reporter will also work with reporters on various beats -- including education, health, crime and other areas -- to produce long-term projects that dive deep into subjects that impact our readers. The ability to work seamlessly with other reporters is a must. Experience using Excel, SQL and basic scraping tools are required, as are the abilities to report and write stories. Familiarity with Ruby or Python would be a plus. This reporter would join the Post-Gazette as a two-year associate, receiving full benefits.
