Morning Consult is hiring an experienced editor to lead and manage our data-driven coverage and daily email briefings for the health, energy and financial industries and policy. We are looking for someone with at least several years of experience covering one or more of the policy areas, preferably with management experience. The editor will also work closely with the rest of the editorial team on editing enterprise stories, opinion submissions and managing reporters. Success in this role requires excellent editing skills, news judgment and time-management abilities, as well as an understanding of business trends and government policy. Most of all, ideal candidates will be able to put themselves in the shoes of their audience to strategically identify and synthesize the news topics critical to industry executives and government officials.
