The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is seeking a talented web developer to join its award-winning team of visual journalists. The candidate should be a good communicator, ready to collaborate with our team of designers, developers, reporters, photographers and editors to create compelling design for exciting new digital initiatives, interactive web projects and data visualizations.
Candidate must be deadline-oriented, flexible and able to multi-task with a strong interest in problem solving and storytelling.
Experience
At least 2 years of web development/design experience

Responsibilities
- Create immersive, interactive and user-friendly experiences for major web projects that work across desktop, mobile and tablet devices
- Scrape, clean and analyze data for databases used in investigative reports
- Design and build data visualizations for interactive graphics
- Oversee projects from concept through launch across all media
- Report to Creative Director and assist team in all aspects of execution of projects
- Work closely with news staff, including other designers, developers, writers, photographers and editors
- Move comfortably among multiple projects with various audiences
