Bingbing Zhang

Bingbing Zhang attained her bachelor’s degree in communications from South China Normal University and a master’s degree in broadcasting news from Jinan University in China. She continued her academic journey in the United States and attained another master’s degree from Texas Tech University where she found her research interest and passion. Her research interest involves media effects regarding how new technologies influence people’s processing of information and response to media messages especially how people express their certain opinions online and offline. She has presented her research about how people use memes to talk about social and political issues on social media in the Associated for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication Conference and the influence of Facebook comments on the perception of bias in the International Communication Association Conference. In her free time, she enjoys watching TV drama or movies at home, eating traditional delicious Chinese food with friends, and playing her little guitar just for fun.
