Biography

Caroline is a dual title Ph.D. student in mass communications and women’s, gender and sexuality studies. She pursued her undergraduate degrees at Dartmouth College in geography, Russian area studies, and human centered design, followed by a master's degree from Ohio State University. Atwood's work explores the impact of technology on communication within theme park spaces, specifically discussing placemaking, surveillance and attendee agency. Outside academia, Atwood is a fervent disability rights activist supported by her service dog, Honey.
