Biography
Davis is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Bellisario College, where she works in the Media Effects Research Laboratory (or MERL). Before joining the Ph.D. program, Davis graduated from the M.S. in Informatics program at Penn State, specializing in human-centered design and human-computer interaction. Her research interests lie at the intersection of communication technology and psychology, and she is particularly interested in using her research on social media platforms and AI-enabled technology to improve people's mental health and well-being. She has submitted papers at top-tier conferences such as CHI and AAAI.
Davis has a B.A. (Honors) degree in applied psychology from the University of Delhi, and an M.A. degree in counseling psychology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India. She has also worked as a teaching track assistant professor of psychology at the University of Delhi for six years.
Outside of work, Davis likes to dance and travel.
