Jess Nickerson

Jess Nickerson is a first-year Ph.D. student in mass communications. She returns to her alma mater after spending more than a decade working in digital and brand marketing in Los Angeles.

Shaped by her industry experience, Nickerson’s research interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advertising and consumer well-being. Through her work, she hopes to bridge industry and academia and ultimately become a professor of communication who inspires the next generation of scholars and practitioners.
