Val Newcomb

Val Newcomb serves as the vice president of stakeholder relations at Urban Grid, a Brookfield Renewable company, where she lead the company’s work across policy, communications and community engagement in support of large scale renewable energy development.

Her career in marketing and communications has spanned the news, entertainment and publishing industries, while the past decade in renewable energy has proven to be both the most challenging and the most meaningful work of her career.

Her graduate studies in strategic communications dovetail with her professional career and reflect my continued interest in the evolving role of communications in building relationships, strengthening brands and engaging communities.
