Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D)

The Information Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) Consortium at Penn State, housed in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, focuses on the use of technology or technology-related tools to bring about socio-economic development, international development and human rights.

The consortium focuses on four research themes

    1. Development Informatics
    2. Social Media and Empowerment
    3. Trustworthy ICTs; and
    4. ICT Use for Formal and Non-Formal Education
