Biographical Summary
Bill Marimow was born on August 4, 1947, in Philadelphia. He graduated from Trinity College with a degree in English. His first job was as assistant news editor at a jewelry trade magazine. He then worked as an assistant to Philadelphia Bulletin business columnist J.A. Livingston. He joined the Philadelphia Inquirer as a reporter and won two Pulitzer Prizes for stories he co-wrote. He later served as the Main Line Neighbors editor and city editor at the Inquirer; metro editor, managing editor and editor at the Baltimore Sun; and managing editor at National Public Radio News. He returned to Philadelphia to work in various positions at the Inquirer.
