Biographical Summary
Carmen Brutto was born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, in 1923. He graduated from Temple University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at the Evening News and then joined the staff of the Patriot in Harrisburg. He became the Capitol Hill reporter for the Patriot (later the Patriot-News) in 1961 and covered state politics. He retired from the Patriot-News in 1993.
